The international conference entitled Journées 2005, with the sub-title "Earth dynamics and reference systems: five years after the adoption of the IAU 2000 Resolutions", will be organized at the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland, 19 to 21 September 2005. Ten years after the Journées 1995, the conference Journées "Systèmes de Référence Spatio-Temporels" will be held again in Warsaw. The conference will be organized in cooperation between the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw and the Department "Systèmes de Référence Temps Espace" (SYRTE) of Paris Observatory.

The Journées 2005 will be devoted to recent contributions and developments in the fields of refence systems and modeling Earth's rotation.

Preliminary list of sessions:

1. Celestial and Terrestrial Reference Systems

1.1 Astrometry/ The International Celestial Reference Frame

1.2 Realization of the systems and scientific applications

2. Precession, nutation and polar motion

2.1 Recent developments of observation and modeling

2.2 Discussion on the latest proposals of the IAU Working Group on "Nomenclature for fundamental astronomy"

2.3 Presentations of progress in the "Descartes-Nutation" projects

3. Excitation of Earth rotation by geophysical fluids

4. Time and time transfer: recent developments and projects

5. Global reference frames and Earth rotation: impact of the gravitational satellite missions (CHAMP, GRACE, GOCE), new techniques (ring laser etc.), new international projects (IAG-GGOS, GALILEO)
